# The Vibe IT Prompt Pack

*Three simple AI tools you can set up yourself, from the Uncover the Mysteries of You retreat at Mt. Shasta.*

Each tool below is one prompt. Copy it into Claude (claude.ai, or the Claude app on your computer or phone), answer its questions, and you have a tool that works for you.

They are written for Claude, and they work in most AI assistants with small changes. You own them: change any word, keep what helps, drop what doesn't.

The secret is the last step of each one. Every time the tool misses something, tell it, and add that to the prompt. A tool you keep teaching gets better every week.

**Which plan?** Claude has a free plan, and Pro is about $20/month. The free plan is enough to try all three. Pro is what lets the daily brief run by itself every morning and lets your breathing app remember your progress.

## Contents

1. Your Own Breathing App: A calm breathing companion built around your reasons, your breaths, and your colors.
2. Daily Brief: One calm page each morning: what needs you, what's due, and what can wait.
3. Inbox Helper and Email Writer: Sort the pile, then get replies drafted in your own voice. You always press send.

## Your Own Breathing App

*A calm breathing companion built around your reasons, your breaths, and your colors.*

### What it does

Claude interviews you first, then builds a breathing app just for you. A glowing circle grows as you breathe in and softens as you breathe out, with your chosen breaths, colors, session length, and intention. Ben's own version, Still Point, started from a prompt like this one.

### What you need

- A Claude account. Any plan can build it.
- To have it remember your sessions and streaks between visits, Pro or higher. If an app won't save, check Settings, then Capabilities, and turn on code execution and file creation.

### The prompt

Copy everything in the box into a new Claude chat.

```text
Build me a personal breathing app as an artifact. Before you build anything, interview me. Ask one question at a time and wait for my answer.
1. What is this practice for? (Calm, sleep, focus, cravings or quitting a habit, grief, energy, or something else.)
2. When will I use it most? (Morning, before bed, in the moment a craving hits, at work.)
3. Which breaths would I like? Offer me 4 to 6 options with one line each, such as slow even breathing, box breathing, the physiological sigh, 4-7-8, alternate-nostril breathing, and humming bee breath.
4. How long should a session be?
5. What colors, places, or images help me feel calm? (Ocean, forest, sunrise, a starry night, a color I love.)
6. What would make me want to come back? (A streak, unlocking new breaths or colors as I keep going, a soft sound, a kind message at the end.)
7. Is there a word, phrase, or intention I want to see while I breathe?
Then build it:
- A large glowing circle that grows as I breathe in and softens as I breathe out, with "Breathe in," "Hold," and "Breathe out" and a gentle countdown.
- My breaths, colors, session length, and intention. Calm and simple, with big buttons that work well on a phone.
- If I asked for rewards, count my sessions and unlock things as I return, and save my progress so it's there next time.
- A short note: breathe gently, holds are optional, and stop if you feel dizzy.
When it's built, ask me what I'd change, and keep improving it with me.
```

### Make it yours

Ask for the thing that would make you actually use it: "Add a big button for when a craving hits," "Make the evening version purple and slower," "Show how many days in a row I've practiced." This is a wellness tool, not medical care. If you're working through an addiction, use it alongside real support.

## Daily Brief

*One calm page each morning: what needs you, what's due, and what can wait.*

### What it does

Claude reads your last day of email and your calendar, then gives you a short brief: what needs you today, bills and due dates, appointments, family and school items, and what's safe to ignore. It only reads. It never sends or deletes anything.

### What you need

- A Claude account. Free works to try it. Pro or higher runs it automatically.
- Gmail and Google Calendar connected: in a Claude chat, click the + button, choose Connectors, and turn on Gmail and Google Calendar (sign in to Google when asked).

### The prompt

Copy everything in the box into a new Claude chat.

```text
You are my morning brief. Use my Gmail and Google Calendar.
Look at my email from the last 24 hours and my calendar for today and the next 7 days. Then give me a short brief in this order:
1. Today at a glance: one or two sentences on the shape of my day.
2. Needs me today: up to 5 things that need a reply, a decision, or an action from me, most important first. One line each: what it is and what I should do.
3. Money and deadlines: bills, payments, renewals, and due dates in the next 14 days, with amounts and dates when the email says them.
4. Calendar: today's appointments with times, plus anything this week I need to prepare for.
5. Family, school, and home: anything about kids, school, health appointments, or the household.
6. Safe to ignore: a one-line count of the newsletters and promotions you skipped.
Rules:
- Keep it to one phone screen. Plain words.
- Only read and summarize. Never send, delete, archive, or change anything.
- If an email looks like a scam or phishing, flag it. Don't summarize it as real.
- If you're unsure whether something matters, put it under "Needs me today" with a question mark.
- End with one question I could answer that would make tomorrow's brief better.
Things that matter to me (I'll keep adding to this list):
-
```

### Make it run every morning

- On Pro or higher, make it run itself with a scheduled task in Cowork: open the Claude desktop app, go to Cowork, click Scheduled in the left sidebar, then New task. Paste the prompt and choose Daily at a time like 6:30 am.
- Scheduled tasks run on Anthropic's servers, so your brief is ready even if your computer is asleep.
- On the free plan, save the prompt in a Project (Projects, then New project, then paste it as the project instructions) and open that project each morning with "Brief me."

### Make it yours

Answer the question at the end of each brief, and add your answer to the "Things that matter to me" list. For example: "Always flag anything from Lincoln Elementary," "Rent is due on the 1st," "Ignore LinkedIn." After a week, it knows your life.

## Inbox Helper and Email Writer

*Sort the pile, then get replies drafted in your own voice. You always press send.*

### What it does

Claude learns how you write from a few of your sent emails, sorts your recent mail into Needs me, Can wait, and Ignore, and drafts replies that sound like you. You read them, change what you like, and send them yourself.

### What you need

- A Claude account (free works).
- Gmail connected: in a Claude chat, click the + button, choose Connectors, and turn on Gmail.

### The prompt

Copy everything in the box into a new Claude chat.

```text
Help me with my email. Use my Gmail. Do these steps in order and check in with me between them.
Step 1. Learn my voice.
Read 10 of my recent sent emails. Describe how I write in 5 short bullets: how I greet people, how long my emails are, my tone, words or phrases I use often, and how I sign off. Show me so I can correct it.
Step 2. Sort my inbox.
Look at my email from the last 3 days. Sort it into:
- Needs me: a reply or a decision from me.
- Can wait: worth reading this week.
- Ignore: promotions, newsletters, and automatic notifications.
Give me one line per email for "Needs me" and "Can wait." For "Ignore," just give me a count.
Step 3. Draft replies.
For each "Needs me" email, write a short reply in my voice. Show each draft here in the chat with who it's to and the subject.
Rules:
- Never send, delete, or archive anything.
- If you can save drafts to my Gmail, ask me before saving each one.
- If a reply needs a fact you don't have (a date, a price, a yes or no), leave a [blank] for me instead of guessing.
```

### Make it yours

Once the voice bullets sound right, save them. Make a Project called "My email," paste the prompt and your voice bullets into its instructions, and every email chat starts already knowing how you write. Add rules as you go, like "Keep replies to my mom warm and long" or "Decline sales calls politely."
